Christine Gagliano and her friends devised a plan to meet Snoop Dogg Friday afternoon while dodging a light drizzle in doorframe of the Whitt.

"We're going through the doors, get patted down and running for the stage," said junior Gagliano amid a crowd of eager Snoop fans.

On September 7, junior backup quarterback for UNH, Henri 'Hank' Hendricks, 21, was charged with murder, assault and battery. The charges came after a May 24 incident while Hendricks was home in San Diego for summer break.

Shock and disbelief took hold of UNH students in reaction to the charges.

Dear Readers,

As much as we wish we did, The New Hampshire's staff does not have a lot of time to go back and reflect on the stories we have written in the past. For us, the best story is always the next story and, unless a topic stays relevant for weeks or months (like a string of car thefts or developing legal battle), we tend to forget about the things did in the past.

Weather conditions on Apr. 21 proved to be ideal for distance running, and the result was one of the most memorable Boston Marathons in history. The pleasant weather brought out an immense and enthusiastic crowd that was treated to two special honors: seeing the closest women's finish in race history, and seeing Saint Anselm College Junior Nick Rich running the course donning just a "Speedo" swimsuit and a sweatband.

Graduation for Saint Anselm College's class of 2008 will take place on May 17. The college announced last month that award-winning journalist Helen Aguirre Ferre would be the key-note speaker at this year's commencement ceremonies.

Since the announcement, there has been grumbling among members of the class of 2008 about this year's commencement choice with many students disappointed that the speaker is not someone more recognizable.

Though I have been impressed by the efforts made by Campus Life to successfully match compatible first-years, and have heard very little about the ills of this process, the plethora of problems regarding the current housing system for students already on campus must be addressed.
